Our hubs

Your Chapter has over 20 specialist, high-quality residential children’s homes across England and Wales that support young people with a range of complex and high acuity needs. 

Our specialist therapeutic care homes offer children a multi-disciplinary team support programme to enable them to succeed and achieve. We offer a wraparound service with clinical, educational and therapeutic care practitioners all working together to meet the holistic needs of individual children.

Oasis

Oasis aims to support children with emotional behavioural difficulties or forensic backgrounds, many of whom will have experienced breakdown in previous placements. All Oasis homes are small, 3 bed homes, operating a trauma informed model of care, ensuring our young people feel emotionally safe and are able to build trusting relationships.

We focus on offering routine, predictability, structure and the chance for life experiences not achieved by young people so far. Oasis has a proud track record of providing stable, enduring placements for young people and supporting them to achieve incredible outcomes. Oasis homes are situated in and around Greater Manchester.

Hive

Hive is a cluster of therapeutic residential care homes, specialising in sexual trauma, including CSE, CSA and HSB. All adults are trained in a trauma informed model of care , ensuring that every interaction has therapeutic intent. We offer children and young people a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) support programme to enable them to succeed and achieve.

We provide an innovative wrap-around service with clinical, educational and therapeutic care practitioners all working together to meet the holistic needs of individual children. All Hive homes have an on-site independent school, registered with DfE – all of our independent school have a Good or Outstanding judgement. Hive homes are situated in Wales, Shropshire and the North West.

Nurture

Nurture is our hub of homes for children and young people with EBD or forensic backgrounds, including younger children who may not be ready for family based care right now and may have experienced multiple placement breakdown. They may have high level emotional needs and be at risk of episodes of going missing.

All adults are trained in trauma informed care and aim to create psychological safety by building trusting and loving relationships with children experiencing significant trauma. Some Nurture homes have independent DfE registered independent schools on-site, all of which are judged as Good or Outstanind by OFSTED. Others will arrange for education placements locally or will facilitate home schooling. Nurture homes are located in Kirklees, West Yorkshire and the North West.

Our community-based residential care homes provide person-centred care for children that focus on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering young people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.

We have over 20 homes across the North West, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Shropshire and Wales that provide a welcoming and supportive environment where young people can feel at home and continue to do the things that they enjoy. 

Oasis homes

Our oasis homes provide the following service:

Forensic (EBD): Our Forensic homes offer single or mixed gender placements for children aged between 11 to 18. The homes are three bed homes with a minimum of 1:1 staffing levels. The homes offer clinically informed clinically therapeutic support.

Our forensic homes provide placements for children who may have experienced a series of placement breakdowns and/or have a variety of complex needs. Children may have been at risk of or come from a secure setting.
The homes are geared to look after high acuity complex children with a variety of needs. We offer medium and long-term placements.
All our homes offer high levels of supervision and support which can be tailored to the individual needs of children. Children benefit from being cared for by a skilled staff.

Hive homes

Our Hive service is split into two distinct services:

Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Services:
Our CSE homes offer single gender placements for girls aged between 11 to 18. The homes offer onsite education.

Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) Services:
Our HSB homes offer single gender placements for boys aged between 11 to 18. As part of this service we provide an AIM2 assessment. The homes offer onsite education.

Our CSE homes tend to be located in semi-rural or rural locations. All of our CSE homes provide a separate on-site DfE/Estyn registered school and dedicated clinical suites ensuring that a multi-disciplinary team approach is at the centre of our practice to enable the children to succeed and achieve.

Our CSE homes offer planned placements for one year. Our focus is to support children through their three phase recovery programme in order for them to transition to longer term sustainable placements.

The primary focus of the service is to provide an immediate physical place of safety with high levels of supervision and risk management, to enable children to start on the journey of working through our recovery programme.

We offer a full range of psychological assessments along with an AIM2 assessment. An initial report will be made available to the Local Authority after three months and after the first Phase of the clinical programme. A further AIM2 assessment report will also be completed after the first three months.

Updated Care Outcomes Reports are shared at regular intervals, in line with statutory reviews, detailing progress in the placement and evidencing outcomes for the child.

All children benefit from a clinically informed multi-disciplinary team approach to meeting children home.

Our HSB homes include a separate on-site DfE registered school.

Nurture homes

Our Nurture service is split into two distinct services:

Complex Needs Service (EBD):
Our Complex Needs homes offer single or mixed gender placements for children aged between 11 to 18. These homes are 4 or 5 bed homes with a minimum of 1:1 staffing levels. The homes offer onsite education and clinically informed therapeutic support.

Forensic (EBD): Our Forensic homes offer single or mixed gender placements for children aged between 11 to 18. The homes are two, three or four bed homes with a minimum of 1:1 staffing levels. The homes offer clinically informed clinically therapeutic support.

Our complex needs homes provide placements for children who may have experienced a series of placement breakdowns and/or have struggled to attended mainstream education and therefore require a level of specialist support due to a variety of complex needs.

All our homes offer high levels of supervision and support which can be tailored to the individual needs of children. Children benefit from being cared for by a skilled staff.

The homes are geared to look after high acuity complex children with a variety of needs. We offer medium and long-term placements.

The onsite education provision ensure that children education needs can be accommodating.

Our forensic homes provide placements for children who may have experienced a series of placement breakdowns and/or have a variety of complex needs. Children may have been at risk of or come from a secure setting.

The homes are geared to look after high acuity complex children with a variety of needs. We offer medium and long-term placements.

All our homes offer high levels of supervision and support which can be tailored to the individual needs of children. Children benefit from being cared for by a skilled staff.
